This day-long, online retreat is designed to help you and the team you’re a part of learn how to work together in life-giving, purposeful, fun ways for the sake of doing what matters to God and neighbor. Who Is This Retreat For?

This retreat is especially for congregational councils, boards, presbyteries, sessions, and other leadership teams. This retreat will be almost like having an ARE team member onsite with you for the day (except you won’t have to feed us lunch!).

  • Why micromanaging sucks the life out of people and how to stop it.

  • Why assessments matter and what you should be measuring.

How Is This Going To Work?

Church leadership teams all across North America will be participating in this retreat via phone/internet. You are encouraged to "attend" it together, as a team, in order to make the most of it! Meet someplace comfortable and wear comfy clothes. Have some good snack food and beverages. Plan for lunch. Also, you'll need access to the internet (DSL or comparable) so you can see our webinars, a screen big enough for everyone in the group to see, and a speaker phone so you can hear us talking. The retreat will last 5 1/2 hours and include a lunch break.

In order to accommodate all four time zones, Kelly & Dave will be running two retreats simultaneously - one for the western part of the continent and one for the mid/eastern part of the continent. Check your time zone to see what time the retreat will be held in your area:

Pacific Time - 9:00-2:30

Mountain Time - 10:00-3:30

Central Time - 9:00-2:30

Eastern Time - 10:00-3:30

Your Presenters

Kelly Fryer and Dave Daubert are managing partners at A Renewal Enterprise. They have coached and consulted with leaders in organizations of all shapes and sizes but are especially passionate about helping church leaders do what matters. With decades of hands on experience serving on and leading church leadership teams, both Dave and Kelly know the good, the bad, and the ugly. They think more "good" would make God smile and that "ugly" should happen a whole lot less often. They also believe it can.
